Welcome to The Mothers Village. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at the-mothers-village.com (the "Site") and any services offered by The Mothers Village, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site.
1. ABOUT THE MOTHERS VILLAGE
a. The Mothers Village, LLC is a maternal support company based in Boca Raton, Florida. We connect families with independent birth doulas, postpartum doulas, and career advisors (collectively referred to as "Contractors") from our vetted network.
b. The Contractors placed by The Mothers Village are independent contractors and are not employees of the Company. The Mothers Village is responsible for the placement and coordination of Contractors but does not directly employ them.
c. Services provided by The Mothers Village are governed by separate client service agreements entered into between the Company and the Client. These Terms govern use of the Site only and do not constitute a service agreement.
2. USE OF THE SITE
a. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Site. By using the Site you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
b. You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit their use of the Site.
c. You agree not to: (i) copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from this Site without prior written permission from The Mothers Village; (ii) use any automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Site; (iii) impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; or (iv) use the Site to transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material.d. This Site is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@the-mothers-village.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete that information from our records. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
3. BOOKING A DISCOVERY CALL
a. Submitting a request for a discovery call through our Site does not constitute a binding service agreement. A service agreement is only established upon execution of a written Client Service Agreement between the Client and The Mothers Village.
b. The Mothers Village reserves the right to decline any service request at its sole discretion.
c. Discovery calls are offered free of charge and are intended to help prospective clients understand our services and determine whether The Mothers Village is the right fit for their family.
4. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
a. The content on this Site, including articles, blog posts, checklists, downloadable resources, and service descriptions, is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
b. Always seek the advice of your physician, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or newborn care. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this Site.
c. The Mothers Village and its Contractors do not practice medicine and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All doula and postpartum support services are non-medical in nature.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
a. All content on this Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, downloadable resources, and the overall design and layout of the Site, is the property of The Mothers Village, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
b. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise use any content from this Site without the prior written consent of The Mothers Village.
c. The Mothers Village name, logo, and tagline "Your village starts here" are proprietary to The Mothers Village, LLC. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
6. DOWNLOADABLE RESOURCES
a. From time to time The Mothers Village may offer free downloadable resources such as checklists, guides, or other materials in exchange for your email address. These resources are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
b. By downloading any resource from our Site you agree not to reproduce, distribute, or share the resource without the prior written consent of The Mothers Village.
c. Downloadable resources are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical, legal, or professional advice.

9. FSA, HSA & EMPLOYER BENEFIT INFORMATION
a. Information provided on this Site regarding FSA, HSA, and employer benefit eligibility for doula and postpartum services is for general informational purposes only. Eligibility varies by plan and provider.
b. The Mothers Village does not guarantee that any service will be eligible for reimbursement through any FSA, HSA, insurance plan, or employer benefit program. We recommend checking with your plan administrator or benefits provider before making any decisions based on coverage assumptions.
c. A letter of medical necessity from a licensed healthcare provider may be required for FSA or HSA reimbursement of doula services. The Mothers Village does not provide letters of medical necessity.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
a. This Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Mothers Village makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any information on the Site.
b. The Mothers Village does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
a. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Mothers Village, LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use this Site or any content on it.
b. The Mothers Village's total liability for any claim arising from your use of this Site shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the Site.

b. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation before pursuing legal action. Any unresolved disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida.

a. The Mothers Village reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. The date at the top of these Terms will reflect the date of the most recent update.
